There was a popular Polling company that ran a poll about what people think about polls, it was funny in a way because it confirmed what how most people feel about Polls, the thing about polls is that they are by nature subjective simply because the company running the poll are in a bad position for actually gathering valid data.
Think about it this way if you truly expect to be able to gain objective data from a poll you would have to do it either in person or in such large numbers that the question bias would no longer apply to the data.
Polls simply are not reflective of the truth because they are subject to so many different issues, from the area codes where calls are made to the nature of the questions and the ways that they are asked.
