There may be an opportunity, if the white house would just bend a little on the public option I think that there is room for some way to work together to make this happen.
Number one, we need tort reform.
Number two, No public option then I think you will have a good bill or at least something we can work with.
Forget about democrats forget about republicans.
We are Americans, First, so lets start acting like americans and make this thing fair.
One thing is that we could just scrap the whole thing and start over as Americans.
Imagine if we did that, and we made a plan that was for americans and not just one party or another.
The problem with the bill which has become 3200 is that it is not an american bill it is a democratic bill.
Often we have to ask that question, can we trust the media?
When you see some of the things that we have seen over the last two years you have to wonder and beyond that, you have to wonder if you can trust the media at all, even fair and balanced, often is far from the truth.
Even when the president makes a joke about being in bed with the media, which really was more funny
to certain groups than most of main stream america.
We have to wonder about things like this, because often you see that there are only a few people who
tell the truth in the media, Glenn Beck is one, Hanity is another, I used to count Bill o rielly into that mix
but now I dont know for sure as yesterday he omitted some of the coverage that other news people
reported on.

is this how you want to do your health care?
If you have HIV you may not live! If you have Aids, your chance of survival is slim…
If you have a respiratory illness, you may not live!
If you have any serious medical problem you will not live!
If you have HIV do you really think that you will get better health care than you do now???
Why are they lying, and why do you think we believe anything you say…
If you have HIV do you really think that you will have better health care after the government takes over…???
Do you think that we really believe anything that a politician says?
Is the white house inviting people to inform on their neighbors? If they are why are they doing this because this is not right, of all the things that you see these days, of the many things you see that are not American, to encourage people to inform on people is just wrong.
Yet, the white house seems to not care, I voted for the white house, but I did not vote for this and I know there are millions of americans that did not vote for this either, but we will vote them out.
We will vote them out of office.
If you do not understand what is going on here then you need to read the constitution of the United States of America.
Just like the move Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, we need to go back to our roots and stop this crazy insane stupidity.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
It appears that health care reform, may in fact be dead as the preverbal doornail, many are saying that this is in fact the truth because of all the problems that this creates for democrats.
The poll numbers are doing down fast for democrats, many say that the democrats could be in worse condition in the next election cycle than the republicans are right now.
Americans and the unions hate this idea and we are sick of this.
With so many other issues in this country it is amazing that we see such a focus on something that is not needed.
We do not need health care reform, we do not want health care reform, so why are the leaders that we have elected still trying to shove this down our throats? We just have to wonder about that because everything we know as fact says that this is not a good idea, they say those that cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it, are our elected officials really this stupid?
This week marks a the end of an era in broadcast journalism, with the passing of a legend in this industry in fact Walter Cronkite influenced an entire generation of americans. You would be hard pressed to find many men and women over the age of 40 that was not influenced by this great man.
You just have to wonder, or do you?
These days the news cycle is every 15 min or less, the news just repeats itself over and over again, this is a crazy way to do the news however, it appears to be the only way the bobble heads can wrap their tiny heads around the idea of a news story.
Sound bites, video bites, teasers, that seems to be the top of the food chain in the way the media works these days, Walter Cronkite would roll over in his grave if he could see the way the modern news system works.
You just have to shake your head, just like the bobble heads do or wait is that just stupid behavior?
The answer is yes and even more importantly the America that we used to know back in the 50s and 60s and the America that the fore fathers of journalism knew has sadly passed away in favor of shock jock media outlets that specialize in driving america to the nearest psychiatrist for a prescription.
This is truly a sad thing when style counts more than substance in journalism, writing is becoming a lost art, yet everyone seems to be writing a book these days which begs the question are the books any better than the bobble heads?
So many of our great leaders are leaving us it is a hopeful thing that we may have the opportunity to do what this great man has done in his career.
A sad thing you may be sure of that, but with the passing of this legend in journalism let us hope that we can remember what broadcast journalism used to be and try to find our way back there for it was a better time.
And that’s the way it is…. It was a favorite thing and somehow, in my youth it also meant that the end of another day had come.
so we come to the end of an era and as we look to the future all we can hope is that we find our way back to the days when the news was the news…
I suppose that if I were going to be partisan I could just go along and let the far left take over health care and find that later all the dems will be voted out of office, at least all the far left dems, there is a growing number of what is referred to as blue dog democrats, this group I find sort of a little more responsible than the other far left people like Nancy P and Harry Reid, who may not be coming back to congress next time around.
If you look at the hand writing on the wall it is saying that if you want to keep your job you had better start listening to the people that will vote for you in the next election or if you are harry reid, the people that will be voting against you.
I will sign on to the health care reform when this administration gets at least one thing right.
So far they have failed, on the stimulus, they have failed on the tarp package, wasting millions and millions, and dont try to blame it on bush, that done with bush is no longer the president, frankly I am sick of hearing about the its must be bushs fault, what they are really saying is that it must be someone elses fault becuase it cant be our fault because we are too smart and we are too big to fail.
No way say it aint so… Why does the media distort the facts?
But if that is the truth why do they show the polls as support, first, then oppose even if the numbers are not correct, they still show the support numbers first, then the oppose numbers, what is up with that, is fox news loosing its anti biased nose for news?
For an example here is what they showed in a recent segment on fox news.

So when you look at the above statement what do you see first?
Support, this is psychological and it is not fair and balanced!
Would it not be more fair to show the top numbers first?

Do you see the difference? This is one example of how our news media distorts the news and I sure hope that Fox news stops doing this because it is not fair and it is not over looked by the people that watch fox.
For one thing, just a few hundred people does not a poll make…
If you really want some good solid numbers you need to do a minimum of 5000 surveys.
Even the much vaunted, rasmussin polls only uses 1000 and they are given the most reliable status, that is just plain stupid.
I challenge Rasmussin to do a 5000 member poll and see what the real numbers are, because so far I file the Rasmussin poll number right in the trash because they just do not cover the ground…
So what say you, do you think that 1000 people is scientifically enough data to draw any type of conclusion?
We think not, but it has to be better than some of the more biased polls, the one thing that you can count on with polls is that if you ask the right questions, you will always get the answers you want.
There is a fine line between liberty and tyranny, at least it appears to be that way, we know that in the time after 911 we had to do something to keep americans safe yet often we found that that line was hard to define, what was enough what was too much, that line may move from time to time however, we can never push so far that we end up with no liberty.
Thousands of Americans have willingly given their blood and their lives in pursuit of liberty even today there are american’s that are even now willing to fight for what we believe in and they are fighting for america and freedom yet we hear about these new programs that seem to threaten our liberties.
Our freedom is precious it has been paid for it is our right not our privilege, we have the right to pursue peace and happiness yet, when a handful of people attempt to force their views on everyone that is wrong and the people will not stand for this type of ignorance in its elected officials, the people we have in congress apparently have forgotten everything they ever learned in school, they have forgotten that they are human and thus are responsible for what they do because they represent the people, it is not the other way around.
Americans reject the idea that one person is smarter than the american people as a whole, that is why our forefathers designed our form of government it was genius, yet there are some now that think they are smarter and better than those wise men who created a government that has lasted for so many years through so many storms, it is arrogance to assume that a latina woman is any smarter than a latino male, or a black man or woman, or an Italian man or woman, the very idea that race places a part in the decision making process of an american is wrong and on top of that belies the very belief that the person speaking is an american, because if you are an american then you are such a person you no longer are defined by your race.
Becoming an american means that you leave behind your country of origin and become one of many, one of millions, you become in fact an american, if you are an american then you need to start acting like an american, not an elitist judge enacting legislation from the bench.
As so many of us are so keenly aware the economy is really rough, people are really hurting, badly enough that they eat at
Mcdonalds instead of outback steak house, they eat at krystals instead of Hardees, they buy their own food and cook it at home.
Yet, we are constantly hearing about how if we dont fix the health care system the economy will get bad, EXCUSE ME BUT IN CASE YOU ARE BLIND OR JUST PLAIN STUPID, IT IS ALREADY BAD AND HEALTH CARE REFORM WILL NOT HELP ANY THING AT ALL IN FACT, IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE.
I will repeat this for the hearing impaired, Health Care Reform is not what the American people need right now what we need is real help in many cases people need food, yes, there are people that have no money to buy any food, but our elected congress is so focused on fixing things that do not need to be fixed that they cannot see the forest for the trees.
SORRY for the rant but health care reform is the last thing that our congress should be worried about, they should be worried about starving americans, not starving people in other countries, it is good to help others, but help your self first then help others, how can a starving man feed his neighbor when he himself has no food.
People You need to wake up and look not to the past nor to the future but to the present, look around you in the cities and the bridges, in fact you had better look under the bridges, because a lot of americans are under them hoping for something to eat while our elected officials are out worrying about health care?
If it were not so stupid I would have to laugh at the thought that health care is more important than someone eating a meal.
BUT, that is what is happening, we have people who are eating steak and lobster every day and drinking wine, while there are people that are starving to death in our own country, not in africa, not in any other country but right here in this country yet, we have to fix health care now or else.
As the famous quote goes, remove the beam in your own eye before you try to remove the mote in your brothers eye.
